The MVA Forward program welcomes the addition of AMSI (Indonesian Cyber Media Association) to the list of partners working together to develop the MVA and keep it a safe place for independent media.
Founded in 2017, AMSI is a non-profit organization with members from cyber media companies and publishers. Currently, AMSI has more than 400 members across Indonesia.
AMSI collaborates with the press council, media organizations, journalists, and other stakeholders with the goal of fostering high quality and sustainable media ecosystems and cyber media businesses and promoting journalism that adheres to ethical standards and serve the public interest.
To support its mission, AMSI regularly holds training and mentoring programs on editorial and business management. AMSI also supports media outlets and journalists with technology and branding, along with scholarships as part of a number of media capacity building programs.
As an MVA partner, AMSI will support the MVA Forward program’s mission to enhance the sustainability and resilience of independent media worldwide. Additionally, AMSI will support the vetting process of organizations seeking to join the MVA platform, in accordance with the MVA Trust Framework. This process ensures that the platform continues to be a safe space for independent media. This vetting process is complemented by the MVA’s rigorous digital safety processes, supported by technology partner Microsoft.
The MVA invites partners of AMSI to join the MVA and explore funding opportunities through the MVA Forward program. Learn more about the MVA’s other partners here.
